These windmills of change remind me of one fact of These windmills of change remind me of one fact of life:
We often don't change until we are forced to.
Even muscles require stress...minor damage...in order to grow and become stronger. Of course, having periods of rest between the stressors is also vital to muscle recovery and resilience.
What does that teach us about life? About our missions here as humans on Earth?
That we must be open to failing, again and again, in order to learn and grow. The path is about the learning and the growth; or as Lao Zi put it so well: the journey is the destination. And our rest, our self-care in the in-between, is also vital to our well-being and resilience.

I will forever associate waffle cone pistachio and chocolate chip ice cream with the post-grocery shopping tradition I shared with my dad xo
The lengths we go to entertain and keep others hap The lengths we go to entertain and keep others happy are amazing.
If we would spend half as much energy catering to our own physical, mental, and emotional welfare, we would not only be happier human beings, but others would automatically benefit as well. Because - remember this - hurt people hurt people, but happy people help people.
So before you care too much about what others think, or dabble again in people pleasing, pause and take a moment to ask yourself if you are being true to yourself - to who you are and what you want out of life. And don't be anything else but authentic to your heart of hearts and soul of souls.
You matter, too ♥️
